This one of a kind bass was upcycled from reclaimed wood. Legend has it that the building was originally salvaged from a military base after WWII and turned into Blum ISD's gym. The school district tore it down to make room for a newer, more modern facility but not before I was able to salvage some perfect tonewood. The body was joined together from pine ceiling joists and the top is maple basketball flooring. The small green stripe is actually an original boundary line. The aged wood enhances the frequency response and makes it sustain beautifully. This treasure was dreamt up by Steve Stone of the Casey Donahew Band and can be heard making music on their tour.
